Blower Motor Resistor Types
The blower resistor plays an important role in the car air conditioning system, used to control the speed and air volume of the blower motor. Depending on the control methods, the blower resistor can be divided into the following types:

*Linear Potentiometer: 
The voltage is regulated by changing the resistance value, thereby controlling the speed of the blower motor. Linear potentiometers are used in traditional automotive air conditioning systems to adjust the air volume by connecting resistors with different resistances in series. When the low gear is selected, a larger value of resist is connected in series; when the medium gear is selected, a smaller value of resistor is connected in series; when the high gear is selected, no resistor is connected in.

*Speed Control Module:
In modern automotive air conditioning systems, the speed control of the blower motor often uses a speed control module, which controls the power output of the tube (such as a transistor) by PWM (pulse width modulation) to change the speed of the blower motor. This method is more precise and efficient, and can provide stable air volume control.

Testing method for linear resist 
The good or bad condition of a linear resistor can be tested by the following steps:
*1.Prepare a multimeter:
Connect the black line of the multimeter to COM interface and the red line to the voltage interface.
*2.Find the resistor line:
 Locate the four wires of the blower resistor (one negative line and three gearrelated positive lines) under the storage box in front of the front passenger seat.
*3.Measure the resistance value:
Touch the black line of the multimeter to the negative line of theer resistor and the red pen to one of the positive lines. Record the resistance value displayed by the multimeter. Repeat this step to measure the resistance values of the other two lines.
*4.Judge the resistance status:
If a resistance value of 0 appears, it may indicate that the blower resistor is damaged. In this case, the blow cannot adjust the gear, and only the maximum gear wind can be used. The resistor should be replaced.
*5.Precautions Safe operation:
 Before measuring the resistance, it is to turn off the car and disconnect the power supply to avoid errors in the test results and possible damage to the equipment.
6.*Prevent electric shock:
Be careful when operating to avoid risk of electric shock and ensure personal safety.
